I can’t believe how quickly this month has gone by! It seems like just yesterday we were watching fireworks and smoking brisket on the fourth. With school starting in just a few weeks, football season approaching, and millions of good memories from this summer – I can’t say I’m too sad to see July go. Over the past month, I’ve found some great summer staple, go to products that I am loving!

Simple Cleansing Face Wipes

This was definitely a new one for me. I’ve never had bad skin, but I’ve never had great skin. I’ve started to notice as I’m getting older that my skin isn’t as tough as it used to be. With most days being over 85°, sweating in the gym for up to two hours, or even not being able to shower right after a workout – these face wipes are a holy Grail product and should be in every gym bag. Whenever I leave the gym, my face feels so oily and I usually wake up with a new pimple here or there. After I started using these Simple face wipes, I’ve noticed such a difference in my all-around complexion.

With all natural ingredients, these simple cleansing wipes are a must for the summer months!

Maybelline BB Dream Cream

Next on the beauty list is something that I’ve never put much thought into, but I’m loving! I generally never wear make up to the gym. Example A above. With the hot weather, I never want to clog my pores with sweat and product, nor am I trying to impress anyone while I’m getting my workout on! But because I have become such a skin care freak, I guess you can say I’m starting to listen to my mother, and I’ve really been trying to keep my face out of the sun, sometimes I need a little extra color.

I’ve been using BB cream from Maybelline since probably eighth grade and I have always loved it. With SPF, hydrating ingredients, and a light weight formula, this has definitely become a gym approved beauty fave!

Nike Free TR Flyknits

Aaaaaahhh the beauty of a new pair of sneakers! Does anyone else keep them in the box for at least a month because you don’t want to ruin them?? I am a sneaker addict! Nike frees have been my go to training shoes since the day I have started walking – but really though. I swear I have at least seven pairs, going back as far as seventh grade. I can wear these running, lifting, and they’re even cute enough to throw on with an outfit.

These are the Nike free flyknits and I have to say they might be the most comfortable frees I’ve ever owned. The idea is to not wear them with socks, but I most likely will. The fabric around the ankle goes up a bit higher, and the shoe itself is extremely light which has been perfect for this hot summer.

Vanilla Ice Cream Protein Powder

Last but not least, my morning Savior and my forever favorite, Optimum Nutrition whey protein! If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you definitely know my love affair with this brand of protein. However this made it into my July favorites list because of the new flavor. I usually go with the chocolate or plain-vanilla but this time I went with the vanilla ice cream and it is heavenly to say the least! The taste of vanilla isn’t everyone’s favorite, most people think it tastes pretty plain but this is like drinking a vanilla milkshake. I don’t taste the “whey” or sandy texture at all and you can be so creative and make a ton of different shakes!

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out my Vanilla Mocha Shake!

I hope you all liked my July favorites, let me know if there’s anything else you think I should try before summer comes to an end. Chad and I are heading to Columbus tonight for the USAPL powerlifting meet so be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with all of my foodie posts!

  1. Love the Nikes! They are cute and look super comfy- no wonder you have 7+ pairs haha. 🙂

Have you ever ordered from MyProtein? You can get a variety of sizes for decent prices- and they have a billion flavors to choose from! I’ve tried about four of their flavors and have yet to be disappointed in taste.

    Great post Hannah! 🙂
